About the Program
Developments in the communication technology brought cultures closer to each other. Such developments increased the importance of communication, printing, publicity and advertising. The Printing and Publishing Technologies Program aims to make researches and examinations by following the developments in the world in pre-printing, printing and post-printing techniques, and to raise employees who are capable to solve any kind of graphics and design problems, and to competently use the contemporary devices. Additionally, raising individuals who can express feelings and ideas through graphical symbols, and support fine arts with science and technology is another aim of the program.
The student who studies to understand the program and the place he/she would like to see himself/herself in the sector during the first year becomes aware of the profession and realizes which works he/she will carry out by means of the obligatory intern training during the summer term, thus enters the second year with detailed information about the position he/she wishes to achieve. Our experienced academicians who try to transfer their effective knowledge to our students through creative methods focus on seeing their students as their colleagues as of the second year and obtain efficiency from applied studies.
Our students who have a successful average at the end of the first year may receive scholarships at various levels in the second year subject to their averages.
Credits to be earned by the students to get the school degree is 84 credits in total in 4 semesters and they have to fulfill their obligatory summer training of 40 days (8 weeks) at the end of the second semester.

The Printing and Publishing Technologies Program aims to raise individuals who are capable to perform quality design and printing works needed by the public and private sectors. Requirement both in and out of the country in this field for trained and cultured employees that can use the technology is quite high.
The Printing and Publishing Technologies Program emerges as a demanded profession in numerous business fields from newspaper and magazine publishing and advertising to television broadcasting, from press to internet, and from web design to advertisement agencies. Graduates are employed as graphic designers and art directors in advertisement agencies; graphic designers, managers, and customer representatives in printing facilities; assistant editors and page setters in newspapers and magazines; and graphic designers and art consultants in publicity units under TVs, publicity offices of banks, marketing companies, and ministries.

- Ability to solve all kinds of printing and graphic design problems
- Ability to use up-to-date graphic design software such as QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop, Freehand, Indesign, CorelDraw, Illustrator, Flash, DreamWeaver, etc.
- Printing and publishing, basic design training, graphic design, photography, mise-en-page.
- Advertising, publicity, web design, business administration
- Digital printing, internet publishing
- Pre and post-printing skills related to realize all processes on computer medium
